In conjunction with this establishment, SNK Co., Ltd. will support the launch of the new studio and plans to make it a consolidated subsidiary. The new studio and SNK will collaborate on game software development to further strengthen their development capabilities.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"New Studio \u201cVS Studio SNK\u201d Announced | A Message from Katsuhiro Harada\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SF5VDtpBEkU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A message from Katsuhiro Harada<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Harada has commented on his new position, explaining that VS Studio\u2019s goal is to <em>\u201ccombine technology, sensibility, and world-class expertise to pursue the ultimate,\u201d <\/em>the endgame being the creation of <em>\u201cmemorable games.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0His comment continues: <em>\u201cHaving been involved in game development for many years, I\u2019ve constantly considered how I want to spend my time as a developer and what kind of environment allows developers to perform at their best. VS Studio is one answer to that question.\u201d <\/em>According to him, VS Studio will <em>\u201caim to deliver the best gaming experiences to users worldwide<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same press release, SNK game designer Yasuyuki Oda has expressed his feelings on the announcement:<em> \u201cI am extremely proud to welcome Mr. Katsuhiro Harada, who has been a long-time friend and a worthy rival to us, into our group. We\u2019ve long discussed the hypothetical scenario of working together, and now that dream has become a reality. To be honest, nothing has been decided yet, but I have no doubt that things will become even more exciting than ever before.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 8th, 2025, Katsuhiro Harada had <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Harada_TEKKEN\/status\/1997952347709034747?s=20\">announced<\/a> his departure from the Tekken ship after 31 years working at Bandai Namco. While it is not known what kind of game he will be making in the future, VS Studio being a subsidiary of the Saudi-owned SNK makes for easy guesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4gamer.net\/games\/999\/G999901\/20260511002\/\">4Gamer<\/a>, relayed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.videogameschronicle.com\/news\/tekken-boss-harada-joins-snk\/\">VGC<\/a>, Harada was asked about potentially working on one of SNK\u2019s fighting game franchises, such as The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, or Samurai Shodown. He answered: <em>\u201cSpeaking personally, there are certainly things I\u2019d like to do. However, since it belongs to SNK, I can\u2019t really say anything too freely. This isn\u2019t about hiding anything.
